Cannot print a document using the Mopria Print Service If you detect any settings and connectivity issues, try the following to print on your Android device.

Step 1: Switch on Mopria Print Service

Turn on Mopria from the phone settings menu.

  •   Open Settings.
  •   Tap on the Printing option.
  •   Look for Mopria Print Service, and then choose On, if it is not already selected.
  •   Try to print a sample document.
  • If these procedures rectify an issue, you do not need to continue with the troubleshooting steps.

Step 3: Connect your printer to the mobile device

Your printer and the mobile device must be linked to the same wireless network prior to print the document.

  •   Access the network settings directly from the printer’s control panel or print a network configuration report.
  •   Confirm that the wireless network name is the same as the name of the wireless network you use with your mobile device.
  •   Once your printer and mobile device are linked to the same wireless network, attempt to print your document.
    If these steps resolved the problem, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.

Step 2: Boot up your mobile device, router and the printer

Restarting the router, printer and mobile device might rectify network- related printing issues.

  •   Power off the printer.Verify with the router manufacturer for instructions on how to power off the router.
  •   Turn off your printer and Switch off the mobile device.
  •   Switch on the router, and then wait for 30 seconds to allow it to complete its start-up process.
  •   Switch on the mobile device, and then verify that it connects to your wireless network.
  •   Power on your printer and Try to print a sample document.
    If these procedures resolved the problem, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.

Step 4: Firmware update for the printer and the router

Outdated printer or router firmware can cause mobile printing problems. Upgrade the firmware.

  •   Confirm that your printer has the latest firmware version installed.
  •   Ensure your router can forward mDNS packets and has the latest firmware.
  •   Try to print your sample document.

Procedure for paper Mismatch Error

While printing on envelopes or different paper sizes, one of the following error messages display on the control panel of the printer or the system:

  •   Paper Mismatch
  •   Paper Size Mismatch
    The above error message displays to verify that ink is not wasted when paper settings in the printer driver do not match with the paper which is mounted in the printer.

Step 1: Adjust the paper size setting

Scrutinize the paper size setting to ensure that it corresponds to the paper you want to print on.

  •   Click File, and then select Print from the program you want to print.
  •   Ensure that the printer is in the Name or Printers drop-down list, and then select Properties, Printer Properties or Preferences.
  •   Select the Paper or Quality option.
  •   Choose Advanced, if required, and then click Paper Size.
  •   Choose the paper size that corresponds to the size and type of paper loaded in the printer tray, and then select Ok. If there is no corresponding paper size, pick the size from the list which is nearest to the paper size placed in the tray.
  •   Select Ok, and then try to print a sample document.
    If you detect the same issue, continue to the next step.

Step 2: Evaluate the paper source setting

Remove and reload the paper in the input tray, and then verify the paper source settings.

  •   Take out all the paper from all printer input trays.
  •   Reload the papers, and then modify the paper width guides so they gently rest against the edge of the paper stack.
  •   Open the document that you want to print from, select the File option, and then click Print.
  •   Ensure that the printer is in the Name or Printers drop-down list, and then select Properties, Printer Properties or Preferences.
  •   Click the Paper or Quality option, and then select Paper Source to choose the correct tray.
  •   Click Ok, and then try to print the test document.

Step 3: Reboot the printer

  •   Switch on your printer and Wait until the printer is inactive and hushed before you commence.
  •   With your printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the printer.
  •   Take away the power cord from the wall outlet.
  •   Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  •   Plug in the power cord to the wall outlet.
  •   Relink the power cord to the printer.
  •   Switch on the printer, if it does not automatically power on.
  •   Wait until the warm-up period finishes and the printer inactive and noiseless before you start.
